I began doing changes with the room since the pandemic started. Since I figured that the pandemic would last a year (and sadly, evidently so), I decided to improve the place where I'll spend the majority of my time.
What you're seeing
Sanyang Table
I focused first on getting the right table. I got 3 tables from Sanyang which are cheaper than thicker tables offered these days but it does the job.
Monitors
I opted to have 2 displays, my main display 27" FHD, and my 2nd display is 19" 1440 x 900. The second display is for music, chats, dev tools, jira/vsts. Surprisingly, I'd prefer this size than a larger 2nd display as this is easier to navigate and use.
Anime Characters
I've been a big fan of One Piece ever since I was a kid as well as a bunch of other characters in different shows/games. Hence, I wanted to add 'Character' into the room that would reflect me and not just be a simple design addition.
Plastic Plants
The room needed a little bit more 'life'. What better way to improve that aspect than adding greens into the mix. Since I wanted them near the system, it would be a nightmare if I chose to use actual plants as I have to maintain them.
Sound Proof Panels
These panels enhance the sound quality of the speakers, plus it's good for the overall aesthetic of the room.
Monitor Lamp from Baseus
I got this item out of curiosity... mostly. Surprisingly it works way better than anticipated. I don't really see any glare that's even slightly disruptive and it highlights the desk very well. I do a lot of notes in paper as I tend to absorb them better, so I needed a more reliable light outside than just my monitor. Plus! it's easier to eat snacks (be careful tho, ants are everywhere).
Logitech G512 and G502
I opted to go with Logitech due to it's design and software. It's not too 'game-y' and is comfortable enough to last the entire day. I do prefer G502 as a mouse due to its straightforward features. The mouse scroll can be toggled for non-stopping scroll (idk what its called) for longer page scrolls (helps as well on long code files). There's an easy sensitivity switch and a redo/back button on the side.
Xiaomi Bedside Lamp 2
This lamp serves as the main light in my room. The colors can be controlled via the mi home app as well as the brightness level. I placed it in the corner as it highlights the figures near to it. It also gives a good reflective light from both walls in the corner.
Gaming PC
In the image, it's only lighting up on 3 parts. There's 3 more that light up but that's too much light for me when working :D Basically this is the main unit I use for both working and gaming. It's running on a Ryzen 5 3600x with 16gb 3200mhz ram. It has SATA 250gb ssd that it uses for boot and 2tb hdd for storage purposes. I didn't push with the NVME ssd as it's pricy for the unnecessary speed for my case.
APC UPS 650VA
Of course the hero of it all, the UPS. There's a lot of times that the electricity here would fluctuate or become unstable. I could've lost the work or even worse the system itself, but with this, I was able to prevent mountains of stress and repair/replacement payments.
